What is Skills Certification?

Skills certifications are issued to individuals by employers, training providers, organisations, associations, and individuals. These are called The Issuer.

The certifications they issue are called a variety of names including credentials, licences, awards, recognition, achievements, qualifications, and certificates etc.

Awards, Recognitions and Achievements can also be issued to groups and organisations.

Certificates are issued as proof or recognition of the certification. Digital certificates have become popular with issuers as a result of distance and online learning, and remote working.

What is a Skills Certification Platform?

That’s us. We are a trusted 3rd party creator, manager and host of digitally verifiable Certificates (Credentials) for The Issuers.

We design and manage certificates for Skills, Awards, Achievements, Licences, Diplomas, Training Courses etc. We also work with issuers that supply their own existing Credentials, Certificates and Licences for us to host.

The Credentials/Certificates we design and manage are a downloadable full-colour print-quality PDF. They look great. Each credential/certificate issued is hosted on its own unique Certificate Verification Page on our secure-server.

Now, instead of issuing a certificate that usually ends up a drawer or just stuck on a wall, the issuer sends a permanent link to the Certificate Verification Page… or both. The Certificate Verification Page is optimised for sharing on social media and looks great on desktop, tablets, and smartphones.

Particularly useful for Training Providers and Employers is the access to our simple one-click button that allows the person to add their new digital credential to the Licenses & Certifications section on their personal LinkedIn Profile.

This includes a Show Credential link to the hosted unique page on our secure-server that can also contain branding assets and links to The Issuer website and social media.

Additional branding can also be provided by showing your organisation as the issuer on LinkedIn, replacing the ICON and Verified Skills Certification text highlighted in the image below.
